Important Dates and Events for Parents

Wed 14 School Board Meeting - 7.30pm 
All parents welcome to attend. In addition to regular business we will be discussing a revision to our Parent-Teacher discussion schedule.

Thurs 15 The Feast of The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass times at St. Francis of Assisi Parish are 7:00am, 9:30am (with school children present) and 6:00pm. One collection to be taken up.

Fri 16 Preparation for Book Week All students will be coming home with three books assigned by their teachers. These books should be read at home during the week of the 19th. Get a head start with your child and start over the weekend!

Mon 19  There will be an important meeting of the St. Francis Volunteer Mission Budget Committee at 6.00pm. All Budget Committee Members are expected to attend.  Please contact Joan Wood in the school office if you will not be able to make the meeting.

 

Wed 21 Special school Eucharist service for years 4-6, will begin at 9am.

Mon 2 A group will meet to pray for any needs associated with the St. Francis School Community from 1:30 - 2:30 in the School Chapel. Please feel free to join us or contact Mary Beck at (02) 9642 8567 with request.

Tues 3 School tuition is due today. Please have all payments written out to "St. Francis School - Nightcliff Budget"  Our mailing address is located on our Contact Us page.

Fri 6 A special St. Francis soccer practice in anticipation of the Athletic Gala will be held today for children in Stage 3. Please be sure your child comes to school with a sports bottle for water.

Thurs 12 National Literacy/Numeracy Submission 2003 - St. Francis will begin planning for next years school entry for the National Literacy/Numeracy Campaign. We are looking for Parents to volunteer to be on the St. Francis submission steering committee. Please call Mary Beck at (02) 9642 8567 to participate.

Wed 25 St. Francis Parent Lecture Series - St. Francis is pleased to welcome Dr. Dennis Whitewood, Professor of Theology at St. Stephen's University as this month's guest lecturer. His lecture  will be entitled "Lessons from St. Augustine about Life's Changes."  The lecture will begin at 7:30. Supervised activities will be provided for children during the lecture.

Wed 29 The Catholic Schools Netball Carnival will be held at Arawang Netball Courts. We have a few spaces left in some teams, so if your child missed out and they would like to play, please contact the school office by Friday 13 September.
